We’ve just heard that the Hilton hotel in the skyscraping Beetham Tower has gone into administration.
This includes the 2 restaurants, Podium & Cloud 23 (the 23rd floor bar), although it is thought the 2 bars will continue to trade whilst the finances are being sorted.
Its a shame, but perhaps this will remind local businesses that exclusive brands and snobbery no longer work as well in a depressed market.
